DC Superheroes Justice League Unlimited: Superman Review

The DC Superheroes line is like a comic based line that a figure comes with a comic and this superman figure has 21 points of articulation and only cost about .89 and that is not a bad price and I picked this up at target for that price and the comic that he comes with is an alright comic book and it tells the story about his costume.This is better than the superman returns 5 inch figures.You can find this at retailers who carry the DC Superheroes line and so far,superman is the best one in this line and if you are a big fan of superman and want this figure,then go ahead and get it,it's worth the price.The ''S'' symbol is nicely done and that is what it is supposed to look like.If you don't know what the cape is made out of,it is made of rubbery plastic and flows nicely.His head is a ball-jointed head which you can make him look up and move it side to side,but you can't make the head look all the way up.This figure was sculpted by The Four Horsemen and mattel should be very proud of this figure and the rest of their figures from the comic based line,DC Superheroes.This is my favorite sculpt of superman and other supermans I saw from DC Direct,some of the face sculpts I didn't like over there,but this one is alright and if you are buying this for someone or yourself,make sure he doesn't have messy paint and especially on the hands and there is a little glop on the right hand of my figure,but that is okay.THe articulation is alright here and the legs on this figure look like the action cape batman figure and the reason why they did that was that so you could move the leg to the side or make him do a splitz.You can pose him in various ways,which I am impressed and he countinues to make fists.I have created a display stand for this figure because it was originally shown with the Daily Planet base and they decided to not include it with this figure and this is a real let down and so,I created the stand and it holds it perfectly in place.Superman's arms are sculpted nicely and it is muscular.The only acessorie he comes with is just the comic book and they could not include any other acessorie,but a comic book and all the bases have been canceled from all the DC Superheroes figures.Still,at least I managed to create a base for this figure.Finally,my point of this figure is that it looks like a comic based figure and thanks again mattel for making the DC Superheroes line and I like the superman figure that has been painted well and thank you The Four Horsemen for sculpting this figure very nicely and if you are reading this review,don't forget about batman from series 1 of the DC Superheroes line and this figure is a perfect companion to batman from series 1.Thanks again,Mattel!!!!!!

Beware! This Isn't The Superman Pictured! - Mister S - NYC
Be aware, before you place your order, you should know that the Superman figure pictured above is not the one you will get. The figure above is the first Mattel DC Superheroes Superman. You will get the second Mattel DC Superheroes Superman (which is a rerelease from a few years ago.) The figure you'll get has a lot less articulation and the sculpt is nowhere near as nice.
I ordered four of the figures to give them away as gifts. I was quite dissapointed when they arrived!
